I have been involved with music since my schooldays in Sheffield, where i attended the same school as Joe Cocker and like my former schoolmate, i tried my hand as a drummer/vocalist with a number of local rock'n'roll bands and once declined the offer to join the city's top band of the time 'Dave Berry and the Cruisers'.
In the mid-sixties i married a Sandgrounder and moved to Southport, where myself, my wife Dorothy and family have lived ever since. After settling in Southport my "day job" as a heating engineer kept me busy for a while, but it wasn't long before my love of music, found me getting involved in the business again and i have worked at just about every aspect of it.
MANAGER/AGENT - for awardwinning acts like The Ben Rees Band and Kicking the Dust.
CONCERT PROMOTER - presenting legendary acts such as Bill Haley's Comets,Dennis Locorriere(Dr.Hook),Karl Denver,Charlie Gracie,Vernon Oxford etc.
STAGE SHOW PRODUCER - "Rock Back the Clock","Three Steps to Paradise" and also appeared in the successful touring production "The Legend of the Sixties"
MUSIC COLUMNIST - for "International Country Music News" and Southport publications- The Star,The Visiter and The Advertiser.
My radio work started as a PRESENTER for 'Southport Hospital Radio' in the early 80's. Since then i've guested on many north-west radio stations (Red Rose Radio, Piccadilly, BBC's R.Lancashire and R.Merseyside) and once presented a programme on one of Britains first community radio stations - Radio Thamesmead (London).

I worked on all the RSL's, to help DUNEfm win its licence for a local Southport station and presented the country programme for the first six years of the stations life.
I'm now glad to be back presenting the popular show again each week on DUNEfm.
