Born in Liverpool, my first Job was on Liverpool docks, well it was more like appearance money than wages, as apart from running a few errands I did little else. With the smell of the sea air, it wasn't long before I looked further afeild, and decided to become a holiday rep in Spain for a year. That year in the sun turned out to last ten!
I was eventually coaxed back to Formby, where I continued to work for a large tour operator based in Manchester, until one day I read in the local paper there was going to be a trial broadcast for a new radio station in the area. That was Dune 107.9.
I got involved from day one, when I presented the Drive time show on the first trial broadcasts, then the Breakfast show on the further 3. When Dune 107.9 was eventually given a full time licence, I presented the late show, whilst continuing my work in travel, then in August 2000, I joined full time as Breakfast presenter.
Since then, I have appeared in 6 Panto's at the Southport theatre, been voted 'Southport Ambassador' by readers of the Southport Visiter, and generally been hanging round like a bad smell.
I was tempted away for a while by the lure of the 'bright lights' of Liverpool, but now I am back and loving every minute of being part of the Dune 107.9 team again, as well as running an internet holiday company.
