Wednesday :- The breakfast show talked about Christmas since there are only 37 days to the big day. They had behavourial psycologist Mo Shapiro on the show to give some ideas to make Christmas less stressful. www.campanile.com Mo gave a great saying out on air. 'If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got" - so do something different for christmas.

Karen was full of praise for a play that starts tonight at 'The Arts Centre', 18th - 21st Nov. by the Sefton Theatre Company. The Neil Simon farce entitled 'Rumors', is so very funny. If you happen to be in need of your spirits lifting, don't miss this show, it is excellent. Claire and Lenny played by Linda Millar and Adrian Roberts act some hysterical scene's, but the whole cast were brilliant. Chris and Ken Gorman are played by Ren Williams and Eric Chadwick. Ernie and Cookie Cusack are played by Colin Wayne and Tracey Batchelor. Glenn and Cassie Cooper are played by Terry Durrence and Helene Porter. The police officers are played by James McCormick and Megan Handley.

(Photo's to follow.)

Thursday :- Karen was all upset this morning because one of her cats has gone missing.

This mornings show centred around 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here'. Brendan was enjoying the fact that Katie Price is being given all the hideous tasks, whereas Karen felt very sorry for her when she saw the tasks Katie had been given to do.

36 days to Christmas and have you done the shopping? A personal shoppper, Gabrielle Teare was on the show giving lots of advice on Christmas shopping. www.tkmax.co.uk www.gabrielleteare.com

Friday :- Joanna Grime sang live on the show. Joanna is in a 'Search for a Star' competition put on by the Retail Trust. Joanna works at the Southport Marks and Spencer store. She has been short-listed for the "Top 50 in "Search for a Star". Joanna needs your help to secure Joanna's place in the top 4 by texting today! She has untill the 15th of December to get as many votes as possible.

Monday:- Matt won Brendan's Bleep Game by guessing the missing word was 'Special'. The breakfast pair discussed 'Bucket Lists'. Karen wants to swim with dolphins and is something she still hopes to achieve. Brendan decided he wanted to be treated like a top celebrity for a month, but the question was, could he go back to being normal again?

Eric Fletcher who plays the 'Lion' (Pic 3,4, + 7) was fantastic in the role and made Karen laugh continually. Les Gomersall stepped into the role of 'Uncle Henry' (Pic 5) a few weeks ago and has certainly made it his own. Marie Orr plays a very scary 'Wicked Witch of the West' (Pic 6) Karen would love to play a role like that, but had to admit she couldn't beat Marie's performance. Graham Heap plays 'The Scarecrow', ( Pic 3,4 + 7) Matt Casson plays the 'Tin Man', (Pic 3,4 + 7) Laura Makin plays 'Aunt Em' and the good witch 'Gilinda' (Pic 2 + 3) and finally Tony Adamson plays 'The Wizard of Oz'.
The Little theatre in Southport have the production 'September Tide' showing untill Saturday of this week. A very amusing play with emotions weaved into it. Staring Steve Pritchard (Pic 1), Sally-Anne Smerdon (Pic 2), Corinna Davis (Pic 3), Brendan Gilow (Pics 1+2), Sandra Unsworth (Pic 1+3) and Mattew Greenwood (Pic 3). Karen saw the play and is familiar with the cast members. Brendan Gillow has played many characters in the past, but his part as Evan is played to perfection. Corinna also shows how good an actress she is in this play, which Karen thinks is her first lead role.

Tuesday :- Brendan and Karen discussed how celebrities insure different parts of their bodies. Brendan has his voice insured, but why did Bette Davis have her waist insured and what against? The mind boggles. Dolly Parton, Tina Turner and Merv Hughes are just a few with insurances on certain parts of their bodies.

Monday 12th - Friday 16th October

Monday

Karen did not get a chance to tell everyone about the show on at the Little Theatre entitled, "The love of Musicals'. She will be talking about it tomorrow, because its one of those shows that leaves you feeling good. No story line to follow, just great music from the musicals over the years, 'Oliver, Les Miserables, Lion King, Singing in the Rain, Half a sixpence' and much more.

Led Dodd was the breakfast show's special guest. He has a charity night at his club on the 24th October, when he celebrates his 10th anniversary of his clun. John Higgins will be at the event playing snooker of course and generally hob nobbing with all in attendence. Karen and Les go back a long way, when Karen, in the 80's, wrote for the snooker magazine, 'Pot Black'.

Wednesday and Thursday

Two shows that can be seen at the moment are both on until Saturday evening. Karen has seen both shows and would recommend both.

In Southport at the Little theatre is 'The Love of Musicals', spoken of at the top of this page, but I'm sure you'd love to see a couple of photo's from the play.

In Ormskirk at The Civic Hall is 'Bouncers and Shakers'. A play that everyone, who has ever had a night out, can relate to. The play is set in a scene of a pub. A bar is open for half hour before the performance and in the break to stock up on your drinks. The four guys, Cliff Gillies, John Windsor, Rob Darby, Peter Roney and the four ladies Helen Haygarth, Jo Wasilew, Lisa Mogan and Susan Fryer all take a look at life at a cocktail bar called Shakers and the Bouncers who control the situations. The funniest the guys take on girls scenes and the girls take on guys scenes and do it so very well, in fact too well. It is an adult night out, so if you fancy a drink Thur - Sat, why not have it and watch a show at the same time while Paul Miller, the DJ plays some great music.

(Pics to follow)

Michelle Keegan who has just won the award for the 'Sexiest soap star' was on the Breakfast show and Brendan was in his element whereas Karen was admittedly a little jealous, "oh to be 23 again".

Brendan's Bleep game had a winner today. John from Southport phoned in as he headed into Edge Hill University. He has seen Al Murrey many times and knew the missing word was 'Nescessity', winning himself a meal at Chiquito's up to the value of £40 and a cinema visit for two.

Only men aloud were on the show and even sang a cappella to Billy Joel's 'Longest time'. The boys have a new album out called 'Band of Brothers', that will be released on the 12th October along with a single, 'Total Eclipse of the heart', with Bonnie Tyler. The guys were amazing and will be at the Philamonic in Liverpool in December.

The show this morning was laid back and Brendan and Karen spoke about moving house, then about the past when they never had telephones and when they only had one television and it was black and white.

Brendan's top five today was five things we really don't want to know the answers to. (5) How Porcupines mate. (4) Where the stuff they empty from the Lipposuction machine goes. (3) What Ann Widdecombe looks like an a bikini. (2) How many nanoseconds it takes Wayne Rooney to earn our annual salary. (1) What your Mother and her new fiance are doing tonight.

Bleep game is continuing on the breakfast show, Stuart from Graysons's had a guess with 'laziness', which was wrong but was a very good guess.

Paul Sylvester - local magician was on the show this morning. www.paulsylvester.co.uk

Paul considers himself an entertainer and is a close up magician. Paul did a trick on Kare. She chose a card, wrote her name on it and then kissed it, then placed it back in the pack. Paul shuffled the cards and went through a series of multiple errors trying to guess Karen's card, but it was all part of the trick. Paul gave Karen a very nice kiss and then put the pack of cards in his mouth. The cards all fell out and Paul showed another card which was again wrong, but then he brought a folded card out of his mouth and it was Karen's card. If you would like to see Paul and maybe get a kiss yourself, he is at Venanzios restaurant, Walmer Bridge which is where the little chef used to be. He's also at 'barcamp', Blackpool on the 17th October. www.barcampblackpool.com If you are interested in finding out more about magic, log onto www.liverpoolmahatmamagiccircle.com
